Used a Razorock product for the first time today....the new shave stick.

I had a great shave but, afterwards i noticed 4 tiny little nicks as well a very light skin burn (i never really nick myself)
I think the Razorock shave stick does not have tallow in it and it seems strongly scented.

Overall i feel i had a good shave but not sure about Razorock products. It doesnt seem very protective.
I might try another one but with tallow before i knock it.

Anyone else use their products?

If you are getting cuts/nicks then it's not the fault of the cream/soap. A case of the "Indian" and not the "arrow". Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

If it's the same formula as the tripple milled soaps then it should be pretty good stuff IMO it's one of the best soap bases offered by RR (followed closely by SMDF).

No, if you're getting cut/nicks then 99.99% of the time it is either your technique or you're using a razor too aggressive for your face.

Or by using a subpar soap like RazoRock that offers little in the way of protection. Admittedly, I've never used the shave stick, but my experience with their other soaps has been underwhelming. There's a good reason they only cost 5 bucks. Sometimes you get what you pay for...

No soap or cream changes blade gap on a razor. That is fixed. A bad soap/cream may shave rougher as will a blade not to your liking, but as regards cuts/nicks I stand by my belief as far too many shavers (especially newer ones) take too many passes or are using a razor far too aggressive than needed as they strive for a BBS as a goal IMO.

I never had issues with Razorock. Offers good slickness and I load heavily.

You have to find the sweet spot for every soap.

I can get a bad shave with MdC and Wilkinson sword blades.

To each his own.
