I know it isn't directed towards me, but as a lover of badger hair, there isn't a synthetic out there that even comes close to badger. Go into synthetics for their own unique traits. They're the softest thing out there as long as you get the newer stuff and not the old ancient stuff before 2000. I've tried about everything out there, can't think of anything I've really missed, and the Omega Evo is my current favorite. I primarily use synthetic when I go somewhere so I don't have to worry about drying.
Joe
I tried an EVO for the first time this morning and was amazed at what a good brush it
turned out to be. I got the one with the longest handle E1863 and a slightly higher loft of 55mm.
The long handle is great because I hate getting lather on my hands, and this one avoids that totally.
The brush is perfect in every way....I came away with the most luxurious face feel Ive ever experienced
in a synth or a badger....it even trumped my Wiborg White Badger ebony brush of yore.
There was no prickliness....just the right amount of backbone and it splayed easily under minimal pressure
without appearing too soft. I just don't see how a shaving brush can get any better than this.

Agree with everything there, best synthetic by a long margin.

Congratulations on your new brush Tester28. I'm on record as a big-time EVO fan, so not surprisingly, I join herbert7890 in agreeing with you in all respects. FWIW I've purchased three more EVOs since buying my first 15 months ago. I invest in them because each one works superbly for me, and because I like the variety of shapes and colors. As it happens, the Special Titano ( E1863) is my favorite EVO, so IMHO you have chosen exceptionally well. -- Enjoy your new brush!
PS On a selfish note ... I'm still looking for a red Special Graal (Grail) like the one in ischiapp's photo in post #29. If anyone has seen or sees one of these for sale, I would appreciate knowing about it.

I sent José an email about it a few days ago but haven't heard back.
Thanks for letting me know.
