Got myself 2 new handles:

Durham Duplex handle.  (I tossed the head.)
I just think it’s a pretty handle...although I discovered it won’t fit on my SS Lupo!!
Must be a different thread??
I was going to have the Lupo head and the Durham handle replated in nickel.
Now what?

50 CAL bullet handle!
It’s a bit large...
I’m figuring an interesting razor head is called for...maybe lead?

That's odd as my Lupo accepts my Duplex handle....

In the Handle appreciation thread, where Patriot mentioned ordering one... I posted about the size and fit. draebeard replied with the reason. Here you go:

I had hoped you would get the better one, Patriot. Sorry to hear it didn't work out.

If you have a pre-war tech head, that's the only thing mine fits.

Well, using garage logic, if the handle is too small to fit the razor head threads...it could potentially be tapped to fit.
I don’t own a tap set.  Would it be foolish to try taking the handle to a machine shop?  I suspect that there’s not enough material in the handle threads to end up with a strong fit once the handle has been re-tapped.

Honestly, I didn't know what he meant by 'nothing a tap can't fix"... Very Interesting. Definitely beyond my comfort zone.

Edit: fwiw, I don't have 'garage logic'... and if you ask my wife, I don't have 'common sense' either.

A Tap and Die set could tap the threads clean if the were needing it or up the size etc. Pete gets it although he doesn't have the tools.

Common sense tells me that I’m not smart enough to re-tap the handle.  When my second purchase come in, if it doesn’t fit, then we will tap!
