Your aggressiveness chart works well for me. Hope you will have this for new razor, too.

Definitely. I'd like to spruce up the aggressiveness chart a little bit and have some additional context, but I think that's the way to go. Frankly, even as a guy whose job it is to design razors, it's hard to sort out which combo of blade gap and exposure would be best for me based on a spec list. So if it's too complicated for me, I won't ask customers to figure it out.

I agree that specs are not the whole story. The Karve D plate and Tatara Nodachi have very similar specs, but feel completely different. I do think that simply stating positive, neutral, or negative blade exposure would be helpful as a place to start.

I agree, I have found those 3 more helpful than anything else.

I have found this to be true as well. According to charts, the Karve C plate should have been my "sweet spot." Turned out the B plate was best. And the Vector shaves me a little more agrresively than the Level 2 Sabre, but that could also be me learning these awesome tools!  My point, and I do have one (!) is that I agree, experience is best, test and see. We know there will be a thriving BST for the plates as we all order many and figure out what is best for our mugs.

Thanks, Shane, for the responses and the insights. I am learning so much as to what happens behind the scenes.

You should come hang on FB Live today at 4pm PDT. Always a lot of behind the scene details there.

Will do in the future. The hyperlink kicked back an error from Facebook saying the video is not supported even though it's not a video. I'm thinking it's a FB thing.

Can you link to the Facebook live video here? I assume we can watch it back after the live was finished?

Honestly, I recommend skipping the FB vid and just watching the Lather Talk one. Not my best performance today! Really mentally fried and off my game.
