-Mike's: Orange Cedar Wood and Pepper
-Chiseled Face: Rhinoceros
-Tallow + Steel: Classic
-L&L Grooming: Cuir et Epices, Darkfall, Trismegistus, After the Rain
-Mystic Waters: Egyptian Dragon

Fantastic ... the second nod for Tallow + Steel and first mention of CF Rhino.  Do you consider both the T+S Classic and CF Rhino as must owns?  Unfortunately, Rhino is currently sold out.

I love the T+S soap base, and I want to grab some of the other scents at some point. The scent of Classic is in the same wheelhouse as B&M Seville to my nose. Similar, but different enough that I don't mind owning both at all

Rhino is the first Chiseled Face that I've really used other than an old sample I had a while back. It works amazingly for my skin and beard, plus it smells really good. I went back and bought another tub of it after getting my initial one in.

So, long answer longer, the ones I own won't be my last from either company. They have quickly become some of my go to soaps.

Mikes and CRSW are my suggestions.

Scent is too personal for me to suggest but among the brands, definitely give Desmond's Barrow, Barrister & Mann (especially anything in its glissant line), Tallow + Steel, Chiseled Face, and L&L Grooming a consideration.  That still leaves out many more, such as Stirling Soap Co. and Mickey Lee Soapworks.  It looks like you have your work cut out for you. Still need to try some Eufros! I Haven't purchased only because I've acquired way to many soaps in the past month. I'm sure it's absolutely amazing stuff by all the positive reviews.

Cold River Soap Works ... this is an artisan who have been around for quite a few years, however has eluded my rotation! If the brand were available for purchase at the larger online vendors, I believe it be even more popular.

Can you recommend a particular line and/or scent? I've been eyeing the Premium and Oliva formula offerings.

My favorites from CRSW are Citrus / Bergamot & Bay. Jardin D' Orange was another really nice one.

Puro Fresco I think is brilliant, and I do hope that Cold River Soap Works will make it again some day. It’s impressive how many soaps they have brought back in the last while…

jnaff811, I previously already mentioned some new soaps that I had actually tried, but if I were to just list (off the top of my head) the newer artisans that I feel have been in the spotlight here on DFS within the last year or so (ones that I have not yet tried), I’d say:
Crowne & Crane, Desmond’s Barrow, Sudsy Soapery, Tallow + Steel, and Wickham Soap Co. (established maker, but with new 1912 formula). I’m also awaiting more reviews for Turtleship Shave Co.

The soap scene is pretty much on fire right now, it seems… Good luck choosing! Smile

Exactly ... now you see why I created this thread!  LOL!  What is that, six new brands to add to my list!  And every review I read is gushing with praise!

If you ever consider trying Jabonman/Eufros, I would highly suggest the tallow version as it is superb and better than the veggie (but, only if you like thick, creamy, yogurt-like lather). Shy

That last line has me belly-chuckling. Big Grin And yes, on a forum like this, people are more apt to write about positive product experiences, so it becomes difficult to make any separation between products…

Do keep us posted on how you decide to proceed with all this information. And who knows — perhaps there are some more forgotten recommendations on their way.
