I tried the Merkur Man method and several variations of it (and others) with my Sensitive formula. It makes a decent looking lather, but I couldn't get it to be consistently stable.

Thought I would share a lather shot from this morning, with Mystic Waters Almond Vanilla - great scent if anyone is wondering. The brush is a Rudy Vey Plisson and this was worked up in about 2 minutes from start to finish with very hard water.

Sure is- I would shave with it! Smile

I was always a "tip dipper" but based on Nathan's Shiny Lather Method TM began using his swipe approach to adding water. Really great in gradually hydrating your lather and the technique solidifies his position as King of Cream, Sultan of Soap and Lord of Lather.

That lather is so far beyond what I'm able to produce, ever. I'm tempted to just chuck it all and go get a can of gillette foam, whats the point? Or I suppose I could just work harder and apply myself and maybe, just maybe one day I can generate a lather close to that pictured above.

Is there such thing as LEDs? You know, lather enhancing drugs? They're banned on the Pro Shaving Circuit you know. Smile

I will try harder.

Beautiful lather. That's what mine looks like too using the Merkur Man Method. Is that what you used too?
