Scentsless Shaver

More confirmation! Thanks, and I hope you and your guest can enjoy the visit.
Cheers,
Eric

I got reasonably good shaves from an electric and Trac II cartidge razor before taking up traditional wetshaving. Shaves with cartridges other than the Trac II were not very good at all. Even so, your statement very much applies to my situation. I choose the method of shaving that works best for me, even if the alternatives work reasonably well. It just so happens that my preferred method is with a safety razor, quality soap or cream and a brush.

I tried using a Trac II and canned goo once a few years after starting to use a safety razor, and also used my electric for a couple of days. They both worked every bit as well as they did before, still reasonably good shaves, but not as well as traditional wetshaving. If I travel, I will probably take the Trac II, travel brush and shaving stick in my carry on luggage. Flying with a safety razor is just more trouble than it is worth in my experience.

Hi Eric and welcome. I've convinced myself that when facing my maker and accounting for my activities, my indulgence in enjoying good shaves and what produces them will be the least of my worries!
