I picked up some Muhle shaving soap a few weeks back. It is available in Sandalwood, Aloe Vera and Sea Buckthorn.
I always thought that the Edwin Jagger soaps were the same as Muhle. I have used EJ soaps in the past and enjoyed them.

But this Muhle soap is better than the EJ. It is faintly scented as are the EJ soaps. I would not buy either for the scent properties.
The Muhle is creamy and rich. A better lather than the EJ. The glide and cushion is excellent. This is simply a great shop.

I like the EJ and enjoyed my shaves. But it was never a top tier soap for me. This Muhle is in my top 5 right behind older Crabtree & Evelyn and L Occitane Cade.

I may purchase a new EJ to see if the soaps were re-formulated and to see if it can go toe to toe with the Muhle.
For around $10 this Muhle is good stuff.

Out of curiosity , can you take a pics of its ingredients ?

In the past , Muhle shaving soaps and creams were the same than the Edwin Jagger ones.I wonder if they have changed.

Teiste,
This is a snapshot of the Muhle Aloe Vera soap I have

This is a picture from Superior Shave of an EJ Box of Aloe Vera for sensitive skin
[Image: 4jnIp1t.jpg]

Note the Muhle states made in Germany while the EJ says made in the EU.

This is copied from the EJ site:
Traditional Shaving Soap
Aloe Vera:

Potassium Palmate, Sodium Palmate, Potassium Stearate, Potassium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Palm Kernel Acid, Parfum (Fragrance), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate.

The pic of the only Aloe Vera on the EJ site states "for sensitive skin"

The Muhle box I have and the EJ site ingredients differ only by the last extra ingredient in the Muhle product.
The Superior shave pic muddies the waters with an extra ingredient but I have no idea how old the picture is. I posted it because of the Made in EU notation.
