I've wanted a R41 since 2010. [Image: 41EL8fE2I5L._AC_US60_SCLZZZZZZZ__.jpg]  Finally getting one! Woot.

I'm only just getting back into DE's after years of using straights, and as much as it's fun, I still find my DE's aren't any where as close.  This'll be the last kick at the can as it were.  I'm looking forward to it.  If anything, the rosegold handle will stick out on display.

Amazon Prime should see it at the door Wednesday.

It sure seems that way. I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be nice to have a full sized handle again.

In my more adventurous younger years, I got the rose gold R41 and massacred my face first time I used it. I put it on the rack and it looked really cool. Now I use it with a Polsilver and it's a fantastic shaver. Glad I have it.

Nice! This will be the last kick at the can as it were for a DE on my face. For some reason, though I get great shaves with a DE, they are never as close or consistent as my Feather Artist Club SS or my straights. I really want it to work because all said and done, a DE is way easier and faster (if only marginally) to boot.

As you point out though, even if it doesn't pan out, maybe it will in a couple of years Smile.

I don't use straights but my barber use when shaves me. So I can easy compare shaves with straights and DEs. Great Muhle R41 gives me very similar results with comparison to straight as well as closest shaves with comparison to other razors.

My barber uses a shavette with a split DE blade. I stopped getting shaves from him as the ones I get at home are closer smoother and much more enjoyable. I also find my DE's&SE's smoother than my str8's, but this may be down to technique as I don't have nearly as much experience with the str8 as I have with DE's&SE's.

That's interesting. Nothing beats my straights for comfort and smoothness. So far...
