I think celestino said that the new ones had a bit of a smaller knot?
Yes. This is true.
I spoke to the seller a few months ago and he confirmed the re-branding.

Also, the knots in the new brushes are a bit smaller, but with better hair quality, subjectively speaking.
However, the knots still measure 30mm, as the older ones were even larger (33mm).  Shy

I have a FS 24mm on the way. For the price I just could not resist. There seems to be a proliferation of re-sellers on ebay these days and all claiming to be distributors.

Allright.. my LS/MS- Maseto brush arrived today - about three weeks after the online order.

First impressions:
- Solid handle (better than Epsilon)
- Medium dense knot 31/51mm with a noticeable glue bump, but not a massive one; I would guess about a 48mm free loft
- Hair is VERY SOFT TIPPED.. I have only palm lathered so far, but very positive impression
- Some reddish hair visible in the knot.
- Tips are very white... bleached for sure

For under $50 this is a steal (you can have 7 of these for one Chubby 2 Manchurian)

Will report back once face lathered.

I received my Maseto Shaving 30mm Finest Fan this past Monday, exactly 2 weeks after I ordered the brush.  Happy

These are my measurements:
Knot: 31.5mm D just above the handle, 51.5mm Loft; Handle: 50mm H; Brush Overall H: 101.5mm

I would normally go for the 24mm knot, but from what I've read in comments on the forums, the 24mm might be more hit or miss for softness of the tips.  Now, I could be wrong about the inconsistency of the 24mm.  I didn't order the 24.  Anyway, I was afraid that the 30mm would be too big.  No worries!  Well, maybe one: have I created a desire in myself for shaving brushes with larger knots?  Cry

Finally, 2nd SOTD after clean-up:

Yes, sir! I ordered the brush in the wooden box. I don't know if that made a difference. For the couple of extra dollars, I thought a wooden box might help the brush make it over here from China in one piece!

Congratulations, Rob and you will probably find that most of your other brushes might be too small once you get used to this one! Big Grin
