Well, after days of resisting, then being very tempted, reading more, then resisting again, this morning I gave in and ordered a SS Mongoose from Maggard's. You guy are the worst (by which I mean best)! Given how much I'm appreciating sharp, rigid blades (either in the injector, or from certain DE razor designs), I suspect I'm going to appreciate what the Mongoose offers. I'm also very fond of Feather DE blades so I figure if this gives me a chance to use more Feather edges, that's a good thing.

It's all a good thing. onethinline. Face it, you will eventually have both the SS and the AL Mongoose. It's a must so that you can properly cater to whichever urge you have at the moment. You'll be prepared to either fling it across your face with abandon (Brian's method) or execute the purposeful strokes that the SS tool demands of you. What fun!

By the way, is it right to assume this stock at Maggards would be the B3 version? SharpSpine or others, any insight?

If no credible answers are forthcoming from here, I'd ask Maggard directly.

To my knowledge there have been no further changes to the SS version. So what Maggards has should be the B3 version.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts after using the Mongoose. I know I have certainly enjoyed mine.
