That's a shame. Your like the one and only person I've ever heard of having a bad experience with Maggard.
I’ve actually experienced one and also witnessed another very minor incident with Maggard Razors. But I realize that it’s not easy running an operation like theirs, nor is customer service always a walk in the park, so I’ll just leave it at that. They are a valuable part of this community/hobby of ours.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
