Mildest, but effective SE razor

Now that I have jumped with both feet into the hole, I would like your opinion on the mildest type of single edged razor currently available. I see there are a number of adjustable razors for sale and don't know if that means it can be mild to wild??? Received my Ebay purchase and tried 2 of the 4 razors so far. The Star will stay unused as a collectable, and the other is a duplicate of one of the GEMs in Nickel Plate. Tried the Bullet GEM and the TTO GEM. Should have purchased stock in a styptic pencil company. Did eliminate bumps on my head I was unaware of though.....
Also would like thoughts on a mild style DE razor.

If you can get your hands on an Ever Ready Streamline, that would be the SE I would recommend. Took me a while to find mine, but well worth the search effort. It is the best combination of mild and efficient I found in a GEM style SE. If you're looking at the AC blade type SE razors, I find they all have their advantages, but the sweet spot for me was in blade selection - the Schick Proline is my AC blade of choice.

I think I have tried all the SE razors for Gem blades.
The only one that made me love them is the TNNSER3D.
In the Clear Resin version (V3) it is magnetic.

I'm not the biggest GEM fan nor vintage SE razor collector but, of the very few I have there are two that I truly enjoy.

The first image is of the GEM Clog-Pruf. A wonderful combination of smoothness and efficiency. Easy to master and a joy to use.



The next 2 pics are of the GEM Contour II if I'm correct. If not, a member with more knowledge will jump in and correct my error. Anyhow, this is the red-headed step child of the whole GEM razor line. Many claim it's to mild, or not efficient enough. Personally, I find those statements far from accurate as I have enjoyed smooth and nicely efficient shaves with this model. Why it does not work for others, I have no clue. Nevertheless, it's a very smooth operator.

Most of the GEM-style SE razors are fairly mild, but work well, depending on your beard type and skin sensitivity.
The Blackbird Sabre 1 or 2 is the best modern GEM-type SE I have used. It was a bit mild for me, but many find it quite effective.

On the Contour razors the ones with the push buttons are the original Contour and the ones with the flip top are the Contour II. Both are very good mild razors once you get the hang of how to shave with what is termed natural angle razors.

Natural angle earliest I've seen that term is in the 1910's and it denotes safety razors that shave at about the same angle as a straight razor.

One of the best mildest razors ever made is the mk2 Gem Clog Pruf. This one is still the best kept secret in the vintage shaving world since no one ever seemed to notice or care that the Clog Pruf came in 2 variations. I used to call it a Peerless because of a known set it came in but upon further research found out that the mk2 was the successor to the mk1 Clog Pruf right about at the end of WWII in 1945. Any shortcomings in the first version of the Clog Pruf seem to have been corrected and is a much better shaver than the earlier mk1.

Here is how to tell the difference between the 2.

The one on the left is the Mk1 Clog Pruf the one on the right is a Mk2 Clog Pruf.
The difference is the amount of teeth on the guard and the mk2 versions were never plated in chrome like the mk1 version.

the GEM Contour II is the most mild GEM style razor I've used. It's really wonderful

The GEM Push Button is the mildest but efficient SE razor I use.
