Mike's Natural Soaps - Honey and Grapefruit

I went to Mike's website on Friday to see if he had any bar soap or shampoo bars available.  Unfortunately, he did not.  And I should have left it at that...don't have what i need, shut down the site and go about my business.  But, no, I just had to see what was available in the shave soap section.  Lo and behold, a NEW scent and my soap-purchasing hiatus came to an abrupt end.  Puck arrived this afternoon and I couldn't be happier with this one.

Off the puck, I get this wonderful grapefruit scent.  He used essential oils for this one and, although it is light (maybe a 3/10 on strength), it just seems perfect.  And as I take deeper breaths, the honey takes center stage.  The transition from citrus to sweet honey is so smooth and the two blend so well together.  I have no doubt the lather will be great, I mean come on, it's Mike's!  But really looking forward to tomorrow morning's shave to experience how the scent evolves once lathered.

Interesting, I also didn’t know he had a new scent. I have noticed that stock levels have been a lot better recently, and I’m sure it’s selling.

HoosierShave, I'm surprised you didn't do a test lather. I couldn't have resisted with those scents.

A wonderful shave this morning!  The scent really didn't change during the lather process from my initial impressions yesterday.  Just a wonderful light grapefruit scent until you take a deep breath and then the honey comes through.  And celestino, you're right, a test lather certainly would've been appropriate but I had a lot going on yesterday and just forgot 

Mike had a small run of Honey and Grapefruit in 2020 but then it was gone. Thanks for the keen eye Jason. Might 3017 a jar soon.

And now, I believe, having just bought one, that there are none left at Maggards.  

Haven't used Mike's in a while. Do the soaps still smell tallow?

PSA:  *** Honey and Grapefruit is back up at Mike's website ***.  I grabbed a jar about an hour ago.  There are still plenty of other in-stock titles too.
