Mammoth Mood Indigo Recent Release

Hey all, Just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience as myself.  I’ve had several Mammoth sets and all have had a nice sent strength, including the previous release of Mood Indigo in the old base. I recently got the new set and to me the scent is practically non existent. I have to try very hard to distinguish between the scent of the soap base and the actual fragrance notes. I know a few other guys that have had a similar experience and just wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has. This post isn’t to put anyone on blast or to cause any drama, I simply want to see if these are isolated instances or if it’s just a weakly scented release across the board. I love the products and love the scent, just wish I could smell it in the soap!

Same here. I can barely smell the soap, which is a shame. I compared the new base tub to the original, and it’s definitely much weaker in terms of strength. I’ve spoken with several other wet shavers that have also been disappointed with the scent strength of this latest release.

I think the soap smells wonderful, but I have not used previous bases to compare it.

I have the soap and balm and both are appropriately scented for my tastes. Zero issues here.

I haven't noticed. To me, it seems to have a similar strength to the tubs of Restore and Stones I have from Mammoth. I think it smells great, and has the just the right amount of fragrance (for me, YMMV MOIMO).

Smells amazing for me. Strength is about same with other soaps that I own. I never had the old base to compare to but the scent definitely isn't weak at all.

The new release soap smells less strong to me too. I have a tub from the original release and to my nose the new smell is rather different also, though I could clearly sense a lot of similarities. Having said that, I like them both, though I wish the new release could smell a bit stronger

So after having the soap airing out for about a week I will say the tallow funk is almost gone and I can smell the scent now. I wish it were stronger but it’s much better than before.

I missed this recent release but I have the first Mood Indigo and agree the scent on that one was strong.

I’m waiting on the second release of Hygge, my favorite Mammoth release to date, and would love to have the scent strength even turned up a few notches from the first release.
