Not sure if I can post an aftershave thread here so if not allowed please delete. I don’t usually get along with aftershave balms. They usually leave my face feeling greasy. Wondering if anyone can give me their take on the new house of mammoth balms?

In context, I don’t get along with declaration grooming and tallow and steel splashes. They leave my face feeling tacky and a bit sticky. Zingari balm is just ok for me, also leaves me feeling a bit oily but it does absorb quite quickly. I usually stick to my ETHOS splashes nowadays. Also love the way Sebum Gold serum makes my face feel. So, would I be wowed by mammoths balms? Or will it just be another ok, slightly oily product for my face. I know everyone is different, but just trying to guage based on my preferences and for you who have tried. Thanks!

I got a bottle of Almond Leather this week and it burned which to me is odd for a balm.

I don't use balms allot. Prefer the sting of alcohol splash but with the shortage went with the balm because I love the scent of the Almond Leather splash I have.

The scent in the balm doesn't hit like the scent on the tub or splash.

Now the burn comment. So I like alcohol splashes but the balm was to much? It wasn't a sting like a splash. More of a discomfort.

Each face is different, so not posting to shit on the product. I would use my Castle Forbes or Soap Commander balms before the Mammoth version for me.

I’ve been making my own Ethos balm by mixing a bit of Ethos splash with a squirt of Ethos Remede. It’s a perfect consistency, absorbs fast, no greasy or oily feeling and works great!

I like the Mammoth balm. A bit thinner in consistency than ZM balm. Modeled after Nivea AS balm, but I think it is slightly thicker than that. I don't remember any residue left on my face, seemed like it absorbed quickly. Ill use some tomorrow for a refresher.

To update, used the Mammoth balm today. Left a slight oily residue for about 20 minutes before being fully absorbed.

I prefer B&M softheart balm more than Mammoth; since my skin absorbs B&M faster and feel less greasy.
Sebum gold serum is one of the best aftershave in market, but I like Ethos serum more, feel less oily and much better scents.

ETHOS serum or skin food splash? I thought he only had 1 scent for his serum

It is serum. I couldn't find info in DFS, but he explained in another forum:

I think he has many scents. I have one cucumber and one agrume(citrus).

Hi Whisker_whacker   I’m going to move this thread to Pre and post shave. That’s where aftershave things belong.

Also, I really like HoM aftershave. It was thicker than I expected but nice and long lasting facey goodness.
