I’d like to know the answer to this, as well. It’s an uncommon size. TGN has one model available in this size, and that’s the only one I know of. There are some custom brush handle makers who would probably turn one for about $40, but since a 26 mm Whipped Dog handle would cost around $10 (if such existed), that’s quite a bit more…

To my knowledge TGN is the only one offering the fan shape.
That is part of the Tuxedo magic — the denseness of the knots. I can immediately tell that the black & white TGN knots are not by the same maker, as the glue base is a different color than on the Tuxedos. MAC Metalworks has some that look more similar to the Tuxedo, but may not be as dense.

Where do you pick up one of those knots?

I buy a kabuki brush and I have to take it apart and prep it to fit into my handles

For the life of me I don't understand why Maggard doesn't offer an economically priced Tuxedo style knot complete brush(?). Their 22mm black synthetic is one of my two daily drivers along with the RazoRock 400 black synthetic.

Hey Jeff,

Did you pick one up? Is it similar to the tuxedo?

Looks like it was a great time hope to get there myself at least once.

Wolverine, it was a great time and yes, I did grab a 26mm "faux Tuxedo" while I was there. I haven't put it into a handle yet so I haven't used it, but to my hand, it feels the same. The real test will be when I can put it to use. I happened to also grab a vintage Ever Ready brush from the PIF table so I was thinking of putting it in that. The hole would have to be bored out a fair amount though. We'll see...

Thanks Jeff ( wyze0ne ). At those prices that will be great if it feels as good to you as the tuxedo knot. I understand the tuxedo is supposed to be very dense so the 26 mm would be a nice size just handle availability in that size is difficult.

Ruds Shaves just did a YouTube video about the various Tuxedo and Tuxedo-like knots that covers the similarities and differences really well. He says the Maggard versions veel very much the same as the actual APShaveCo Tuxedo knots.
