So I recieved an email this morning from Mad Yak Outfitters who have a couple of shave soaps that both sound interesting Everest and Big Cedar. The thing is, I have never heard of Mad Yak and certainly don't ever remember signing up on an email list for them. So my question is do any of you have any experience with this particular brand? I was also wondering this might be a rebranding/restart of an artisan that may have sold products under a different name as that could explain why I was on their email list. It's not that I'm upset over their sending me emails as I'm always interested in new artisans. Just can't figure out how I got on their email list. Also wondering if anyone has tried these soaps and what your thoughts are?

That's curious. Never heard of them. I wonder if some other vendor sold their e-mail list to them… (Just speculation on my part, but I suppose it's a possibility.)

I also received an email from them. Checked their website. Looks ok. The soap’s ingredients do not seem to contain tallow.

Somehow it seems like a complete 180° to go from a name like Country Club for Men to something like Mad Yak Outfitters…. Not a judgement, just an observation.

Country Club for Men made awesome shave soap, the 3 different formulas i have tried from them were all top notch.

Glad to hear he has rebranded and back to offering quality products, and wish them sucess!
