[Image: FlWlyrt.jpg]Have you tried this soap from Spanish soap maker Los Jabones De Joserra?  I picked up a tub of their Rodrigo De Jerez soap from Top Of The Chain last week and used it yesterday. It’s really good. Beautiful scent -top sweet tobacco and spice, middle tonka bean, tobacco flower, vanilla and cocoa and base patchouli, leather and bourbon. They say this is their most popular scent and I can see why but the soap base is the super star here. This is just my opinion but this might be the best soap base that I have ever used.  I bowl lathered it and it took some time and water to develop but then wow! Rich thick yogurty beauty and lots of it. And did I mention the scent? So nice. Great shave and super post for those that search for the ultimate post feel. I’m really glad I took a flyer on this one. I can say I’ve found my top pick for 2022 already.

I concur with Marko that Los Jabones is an elite-level soap base all the way. It's expensive ($35 for 4 oz) but worth trying. The scents have mostly all been winners for me and quite strong. A couple have burned me a tiny bit, but nothing too bad, just a light tingle. Most of the scents are on the sweet side but complex and interesting.

I have a couple of the soaps and find them to be great performers, they can run with any of the modern elite soap bases, It's a shame they don't get more attention

They’re top notch! We are very lucky to have Joserra here in Spain.

If you are a Creed Aventus fan, you should try Céfiro. It’s like shaving with Aventus.

I have realized that there is no point in trying to use up all my soaps and creams before I die, so I might as well spend my savings on trying some new ones for variety. After reading the good reviews, I have ordered three Los Jabones de Joserra shaving soaps: Rodrigo de Jerez, Passion Intense, and Fig.

Resistance is futileSmile

I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to try them.

I used Viriato this morning and thought "What a great soap.  I'll miss it when I use it up?"  Whenever that may be.

I acquired this in a blind trade sometime ago.  I agree with others.  It's very much a top shelf soap.  Great scent.  I won't even try to describe. Here's the official scent description:  Opening with a spicy note of Cardamom, blending in to a heart of Leather and Suede all resting on a woodsy base of Cedar, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Patchouli.

And now, darn it Marko, I think I "need" to order a tub of Rodrigo.
Tobacco, leather, patchouli.  Hits several of my buttons.

Great soaps that are very good performers. I have the Spanish Fern and the Fig. Spanish Fern is simply one of the best Fougere's I've ever used, the scent is just amazing. I purchased the fig because I used to have a fig scented soap that I loved the scent of from an artisan that has since closed it's doors. Sadly the Joserra Fig is nothing like the one I had before, it's described as:

'A woody fragrance with refreshing green leaf top notes and floral accents of cyclamen and lily of the valley, resting on a rich woody base of fig, cedar warmed by touches of amber, vetiver and tonka.'

I get nothing really except the Green Leaf top note. If you like leafy green scents then this ones for you. Otherwise you may want to chose another scent.

I bought one to include in my Aventus clones mega review. I haven't used it yet. Probably kicking that off in late March or Early April.
