Hey Chris, not sure if you ever found the boar knot you were looking for, but Zenith makes a boar brush with an extra high loft.  The brush itself it a pretty damn good boar brush.  Right up there with the top Owners Club knots and the best Omega knots.

I ended up getting a black badger knot, which has worked out very well.

I do have a Zenith-made RazoRock boar in olive wood. I also have a Zenith best badger in kotibe, and a Zenith 22mm boar in fauxm tortoise that I asctually pulled the boar knot out of, with the goal of dropping in a really nice 22mm badger knot...

Anyhow, in my opinion, Zenith is a very difficult brush to beat for the price...

Yes, I agree. They are very much under priced if you ask me. I have a Zenith Olive wood fan shaped Manchurian. Costs around $85-$90 dollars.... way under priced. I would have paid double... it's that good

I have an Omega 10005 (beech handle), which is a 24mm knot with ~53mm loft. Although it was my very first, I actually really like this brush, and it seems to me it would be a good candidate for your purposes.

I set a few TGN boars a few years back--which seemed as good as any. For a tall knot, TGN offers both a 24mm and a 27mm for $11-$12.00.

Omega professional brushes have the knot inside a cup. TGN used to sell just the (Omega) knots, not sure if this is the case.
I actually recommend the Proraso Pro brush which is a shorter lofted Omega Pro, the backbone is far better and it is easier to control.
You can extract the knot by, well, breaking the handle around it. There was a guy who did that on TSN some 4-5 years ago... not the most elegant solution but it worked.
Omega Pro brushes are cheap enough to experiment. I actually wish I had bought a couple of extra Proraso brushes when I was in Italy last month, as they are sold for 4-5 euros in supermarkets, for a similar handle restoration project.

I only got one and it is outstanding.
Good luck.
