My PayPal draft for the Athena was $209.72. Just an FYI. I think they are still available for this price via IG directly from Theo.
Now, we have a US distributor. He needs to make a few $$$ too. No? I don't think he has even mentioned a price. Just low $200s.
I'm not sure how we got here but I do agree with Mr. Moriarty on all points but 1 minor addition of my own. SS can achieve a true mirror. Bronze, titanium, and brass can get to 95%ish and it is hard to do. This info is from DuFour during my chats with him. Try ordering a mirror polished bronze Wolfman. You can, but it is going to come with disclaimers. I have mirror bronze DuFour razors in SS, Ti and bronze. The finish of the Athena is just a good, to my eye. If you consider the Athena also has a two tone finish, I would say the Athena is better.
The Athena is quite an exceptional value below $250. I'm not sure how that is not apparent.
Once Theo get established, I think his prices will rise, as they should. He has a great product and they can't be easy to make.
I would like to see, selfishly, limited production on all of the models. Keep the innovation in materials, function, and design fresh in bringing new models to market.
All of this is just one man's opinion. I am not employed by Razor Co, Theo, Mr Moriarty, USPS, Fed Ex, or anything remotely associated with this razor. I am also wrong more than I am right, ask Mrs. LOOT.
