A Phoenix Shaving Christmas Classic! 6 Years Of Fruitcake!

Scent Profile: Candied Fruit, Rich Butter, Coconut, Maple Syrup, Brown Sugar, Vanilla, Cake Batter, T-bacco Absolute and Spiced Atomic Age Bay Rum. Trust me, it makes for a far better wearable scent than something you would eat sober.
Ahhh Fruitcake how unique and magical you are and perfect for regifting!
Seriously, I once read an article on a fella who gave a fruitcake to a friend one New Years Eve and got the very same one back 8 years later from a new girlfriend! Talk about a bad penny.
But it wasn't always so my friends...or maybe it was and I was just too young to notice? But there was a time when fruitcake was a serious collectible a status symbol, heck some of those classic tins still are if you ask me!

I am serious, mothers and grandmothers use to proudly display them on shelves along with Christmas Cards back in the day...simpler times for sure. Am I the only one who remembers these things?

All that said and recollected I thought I'd take a stab at creating my own Keepsake Fruitcake creation for 2018, but more for us gents. Also before you ask, it does contain chunks of candied mystery fruits (see photo) and a hint of spiced rum, Atomic Age Bay Rum + to be exact! [Note: Mystery fruit is actually shave soap so be not alarmed.]
Vanilla Bean Hydrosol
Yup, I did it again folks! Much like Space Nog, I also chose to use my homemade Madagascar Vanilla Bean Hydrosol in place of water. The depth this stuff adds is pure legend!
If you are a fan of our Fall Classic Son of Clown Fruit (formerly Clown Fruit), you will really enjoy this similar scent. Not the same at all but it does share some elements...just can't put my finger on it.
I should note, though this does contain Bay Rum it really is just a grounding splash and is a supporting player in what comprises the overall Fruitcake scent we all know and love. I did take some liberty and add some T-bacco Absolute to the aftershave/cologne & EDP however, best move ever!
Also, if you are a fan of fruitcake, this will knock your socks off!
Not only does this make for a super festive scent conversation by the punch bowl...
