Be mindful your protection from Paypal if you used it is 180 days, which should make it to the tail end of May to early June for you to go that route. I'm sure the credit companies will be more than willing to accommodate you though too.
When you talk about seeking recourse through PayPal or credit card companies.....are you aware of anyone attempting to cancel an order and Karve refusing to issue a refund? I had not heard of their thievery rising to such a blatant level as that, but I’d be interested to know about it if you have.

Definitely have not heard of anyone attempting to cancel and Karve refusing. Just giving people a reminder about it as I know what Paypal's terms were, and I had that in mind in case I needed to pursue getting a refund. I wouldn't be putting myself out on money on word alone that it will come and it will be honored. More of a PSA for everyone as I saw those polished stainless razors and just wanted to remind those that are reading about it. Though I doubt that isn't in the mind of the buyers putting out a good chunk of cold, hard cash for a razor of this price.

All I needed to know. Thanks. The rest of your post is pretty much moot.

So this happened today Smile

I've been setting aside blocks of time to work on just polishing.  I’ve been chasing an orange peel problem on the top of the plate and on the top of the cap for the last couple of sessions, so progress was slow.  And talk about frustrating...I just couldn't get rid of it. And the first razor I polished didn’t have it. Anyways, I managed to figure it out today and everything fell into place...the secret is lots of polishing compound and even more elbow grease.  I still have no idea why the first razor didn't have orange peel.  It could just be that it was a fluke and I'm overthinking it now. This razor will be headed out to its owner tomorrow.  For the rest of you waiting, they are coming. They are tremendously time-consuming, but I have my process down now.  It will no doubt get better and faster the more I do, but I have something that is giving me consistent results.

Thank you again so much for your patience.
2 months ?

November 29 2019 ... Black Friday ...

December, January, February, March, April 8 2020.

Is my addition lacking or is that four (4) count 'em ... FOUR MONTHS + !!!

He responded to you in an email that he found it took him 4 hrs to polish 1 razor was what I was referring to, post #1416. So since Jan 31st he has polished to ship "1" razor so far. I'm sure there will be another excuse coming on why he won't be able to ship more...

So within a week, or a bit more, I had the SS razor.

I would like to point out that the only forum I have to 'know' whether anyone has received a polished SS is DFS.

I thought you were done with this thread and reminding everyone you got screwed?   Tongue
Well, 'I' didn't get 'screwed' ... WE ... everyone who ordered a polished stainless on Nov 29 was misled. We got sizzle but no steak.

Some have gotten a refund. I chose to change my order, and got a razor, some extra plates, and a partial refund.

So I'm not 'reminding everyone' just to get it off my chest. I've already done that some time ago.

My intent is rather to give those who may not be aware of the previous history of Karve's business model (if you can call it that) a heads up before they plunk down their hard earned long green when they see Titanium Karve and a roll out date.

Moments ago I received a very long and detailed email from Chris @ Karve Razors explaining all that went wrong with the polished razors. I won't quote the message but what Chris offered for current or future purchase is a 100 CAD credit and free shipping. I won't go into how I replied but did state I would be interested in a future purchase of a titanium razor which is suppose to be released in May. I also stated only if a G plate was available. To be continued.

I got the same email. I suppose anyone that ordered the polished got it as well.

I thanked him and replied that I'd be going for a Titanium .... IF .... it is going to be in stock ... ready to ship on the roll out date

I await a reply  Smile

in stock??? ready to ship???  Huh

Has Karve been sold and is under new management???

The Karve that the shaving community knows has a well established business model of deception, grab the cash, then delay and excuses for every razor announcement that they have ever made.
