Funny segments, but I really dislike canned laughter. I'll decide what's funny and not the people doing the show telling me what's funny. That's why I like the show "Corner Gas" out of Canada. It's hilarious but with no canned laughter to tell me when I should laugh. It's just dry humor delivered deadpan. If one get's it one get's it. It's up to the writers to write well and up to an intelligent audience to catch it.

There was another show out of Quebec I think, the French Canadian version of Candid Camera, but much better IMO. It had me rolling. I think it was a summer filler but should have been a regular show. I can't remember the name, wish I could.

Corner Gas was great. It’s quintessentially rural western Canadian/Saskatchewan humour. It just feels so comfortable. Right down go the grain elevators and spitting at the mere mention of the neighbouring rival town. You’d have regularly played hockey or curled against those guys so rivalries of long standing would exist. If your sister were to ever date someone from that town, we’ll, it would be a matter of some consternation.
