Vintage Shaver

It actually arrived a few days ago, but I just cut off a 100g chunk from a block of the original Figaro P.160 shaving soap, grated it, and pressed it into a stainless container. So now it's ready to use in my rotation.

My Wolfwhiskers that was lost in the post office limbo popped out today!

Also got two new Windrose handles.
They are beefy! Love them.
Very much improved over the previous batches.
Almost as nice as a Triad handle. Priced pretty well too.

Hello Gentlemen,

Here is my very latest acquisition: a bespoke doppkitt which was crafted by a wonderful British artisan, Carl Morgan.

I discovered Carl’s work with Hone Shaving. Hone's travel cases are made by Carl. There are handmade. Quality of the leather and finish are second to none.

As we, wet shavers, must carry a ton of items when travelling, I contacted Carl so that to craft a doppkitt with massive dimensions and insane requests. It was a better option than buying a vanity case, isn't it?

I can’t do anything but recommend Carl. He is a very talented artisan and a true gentleman also. He followed my lead but several times, he shared great ideas as of the design, the closing, the top flaps etc. that challenged some of my first thoughts. And I am glad he did because every time, I must reckon that he was right. He shared with me a lot of his experience and great taste.

The process lasted around 5 weeks. It took time mainly because crafting leather is not Carl first job, partly because Carl had to craft things from scratch (no template for my requests). He consistently got back to me with photographs more than necessary and expected. We exchanged tons of emails. he got back to me the day after. Customer service was outstanding.

The result is amazing. It is in UK still but is shipped to me tomorrow.

Carl is on Etsy (MorganEsq).

Picked up a couple of CL toners on the New Years sale. I'm going to have to check out that Unconditional Surrender soap now. All good stuff.
