I just got the email that Grooming Dept is releasing the new soaps on Friday at 11 pacific daylight time.

I'll never understand the attraction to oud.
It's an acquired taste, you would have had to sniff the real stuff when it was even available. There was a range of smells depending on where the Agar wood came from. Almost everything is synthetic now due to the price. Just like real Mysore sandalwood.

Admittedly I don’t have a lot of experience with oud in soaps and colognes, but I do agree that it’s interesting to see(smell) the range. Grooming Dept’s Magnolia & Oud soap is one that I always thought was pretty awesome, still have part of a tub left and every time I use it I just let it sit open for a while to perfume the bathroom.
