I shave every evening for work and the Tech lasted about 30 hrs before I needed a shave again which messed up my shave pattern. I think it is a very unique razor but the stories of its face shredding are highly exaggerated IMHO. If you like efficient razors you owe it to yourself to try one.

Totally agree here. Technique trumps tools. My issue with it was weight. After the first shave, I changed to a heavier handle and a sharp blade (Kai) and it really smoothed it out. Not large gap WR1 smooth by any means, but acceptable. I like the razor and don't mind if it is an homage to a Gillette razor that's long out of production...or whatever razor he plagiarized. The Tech is fun to try and master.

And since the artisan has obviously scanned this thread and took exception to very little, I must say it's been a pleasure being taken to school by brother Mudrick.

No.  I couldn't disagree more.  It has nothing in common with the Gillette Tech, but the name.
The Gillette Tech is a stamped brass, nickel or gold plated razor; the iKon Tech is made of sintered aluminum.
The Gillette has significant safety bar overhang, while the iKon has none at all.  For all practical purposes, it's a DE shavette.
The Gillette is gentle and forgiving; the iKon is rough and unforgiving.
The Gillette shaves best at a steep angle, whereas the iKon requires that you ride the topcap (lest you draw blood).
In my opinion, those two razors have nothing in common, but the name; a name that Greg Kahn appropriated.

It's funny how different our experiences can be. I shave blade against skin and get a wonderful, comfortable, precise shave every time. Never ride the top cap. Guess it goes to show how each of us is unique in terms of our skin, our beards, our technique and our preferences. There's no right or wrong. And the only way we can know if a razor is right for us is to try it.

I'd sugest taking the negative comments with a large grain of salt.

Greg, if this is in fact Greg, are you still in business? Are you planning on making more Tech heads? I personally find that razor amazing. Obviously I'm not alone. Even if you're designing something new, I don't think you should walk away from a razor many of us consider a masterpiece.

I hope Greg returns to answer your other questions, but yes, still in business:

It wasn’t long ago that the B1 heads were restocked. I also recall seeing (on Instagram) a new design in the works, one in some ways similar to the SBS. Eager to learn more about that one, since the SBS is such a nice razor.

If that's so, why are they not restocking the Tech? That razor is, in my opinion, a masterpiece. I know I'm not the only one who considers this so.

Not sure about the stock situation. After all that I’ve read about the iKon 104 Tech, I think there are those of us who have experienced it and love it, and then the opposite kind of users — who could not get along with it and then go on to tell everyone how impossibly aggressive and rough it is. (Which I don’t find to be the case. Have your senses about you and treat the razor with care, and the 104 is a fantastic tool.)
