Interested in razors similar to 38c!

Hey everyone, I'm afraid I might need your sincere opinion on the type of razor I should get. I am interested in something that functions the same as the 34 HD but I need something with a longer handle as I am having some issues with the short handle that comes with the 34 HD. I guess the next best thing is the 38 C, but I simply hate the design of the knurling of the handle not to mention that this razor is not inexpensive either. I'm looking for something more rugged that provides better grip, just like the handle on the 34 C. My question is- does anyone know of a razor that provides the features mentioned above? Mildness and grip of 34 HD but length of 38c at the same time, preferred price is $50 or less. Thank you all and happy 4th!

I have a Merkur 38C HD.  It's a very nice razor.    

I don't know of a way you can get a long handle for the two piece Merkur in your price range.  Having said that, I find the Merkur 3 piece closed comb to be very close, if not the same as, the two piece head.

If you go this route, you do have some options.

You could a two piece replacement head at the link below and a Maggard's brand long handle.  Shipping might push you over $50, though not by much.

Check the rest of his razors. Pricing is reasonable.
