The Tech is now right up there next to my ATT H2. The more I use the Tech, the more I like it.

How is the H2 plate compared to the R41 or tech?  As aggressive, less aggressive, or about on par?

Less aggressive, but smoother in my experience. I can get great shaves out of both the Tech and H2, but the Tech demands a better technique.

Yes I was wondering about the H2 also.
In the next tier down from the IS Tech and R41, I think the FaTip is an incredibly smooth shaver (though it's so stealthy that it requires extra vigilance) and also the New Improved.

I've shaved on 5 consecutive days with the Tech, using the same Sharp Durablade.

It's getting easier as I log more shaves, clearly. I had an earlier round with the Tech that was a bit rougher, even though the performance was incredibly efficient. Now, the consistent application of a feather-like touch with a steep angle (except for light buffing where I use a bit more of a shallow angle) provides what feels very comfortable, with the occasional exception of the ATG/XTG on the chin. I wouldn't call that part uncomfortable, but perhaps there's just more resistance. Doing a little extra up-front work on the WTG pass helps considerably with the subsequent pass(es) on both the chin and upper lip, however.

This is clearly a new level of BBS, akin to the R41 but a different face-feel (hard to describe, but I think MJClark comes closest in an earlier post). The Durablade - often maligned in forums, but so far a great performer for me in every razor I've tried - has now weathered five solid shaves, and the decrease in efficiency was apparent today, but it didn't feel any less comfortable. I might go one more round with it and then retire it, unless there is an unforeseen dramatic comeback!

I'll probably switch back to the R41/Spitfire combo next week for a better comparison. Using the Tech has made me a stronger shaver - now we'll see what happens with the other beast in the ring.

Sixth consecutive Tech shave for me, although I decided at the last minute to swap out the "mellowed" Sharp Durablade for a Dorco 301 (yes - not the most highly regarded blades, but part of the experiment).

The shave was very similar to the Sharp, although I think the Sharp was, er, a bit sharper. No real pulling or dragging with the Dorco, just a bit less efficient. Comfortable and close.

This is my first post on this fine forum. I've spent some quality time with it, and look forward to expanding my horizons.

I have the H2, R41 (2013) and Ikon Shavecraft Tech. They are among my starting four, with the Wolfman open comb with the blade gap adjusted to.74mm. The H2 is my overall favorite, the R41 is the best combination of easy and close, the Wolfman is the most beautiful and easiest, and the Ikon is the most enjoyable because it's an experience that requires attention and provides the closest and most long-lasting shave. The H2 is simply beautiful, strong, close, smooth and long-lasting.
