AlanH81 I’m sorry about your father and I hope your mother is ok. Does she live near you?  It’s hard as our parents get older especially if they are far away.

It sounds like your surgery went well. I have an umbilical hernia also snd another one up higher and to the left. I’m on the list to get them fixed but Covid delays. We all have to be patient. Thank goodness for my relaxing shaving ritual. It’s so calming and peaceful to slice my whiskers off with a nice razor and great lather.  No thoughts of Covid intrude while I’m shaving.

I did not buy the Karve razor stand when I bought my razor but now I’m thinking I might. I have to admit, the sight of your polished stand is what got me thinking about it.

AlanH81 i want to thank you for your contributions to the forum. You are always so positive and your joy and enthusiasm for everything including all things wet shaving is great. You’ve been a great addition to the DFS family.

I have to mention one thing my Mother bought me Karve Razor on Jan 11 for my Birthday last year and my surgery was in March so right after my surgery my stay at Shouldice was 4 days that’s standard making sure everything is good before they release me. Right after when I came home my Karve arrived I was so Happy and this is why is so dear to my Heart hope that explains among with other facts.

Karve stand you’ll Love it I have to say and I’m sorry this is my view regarding Karve it’s the best stand design I seen size, design around, plastic sleeve inside, overall 360 on it it’s Perfect what Chris have done Kudos to Him  Happy2

So glad to hear you have come to the Karve side! I love the Persona Reds in my brass CB razor, too. Within a few months of getting the CB Karve, I sold off all razors except my Slim and a pre-War Tech. But I have never tried a Feather blade in it! Daring, you are. I have the best RCS shaves with the A and B plates.

I agree, great member and so helpful!

And I really like the Karve razor stand. Kinda bummed that I didn't send it to Alan with the other stuff. But no one notices it due to the shininess of the razor!

The Feather works great for me in the Karve - I tried a Kai blade in it on B plate yesterday and it was excellent as well. Happy2

I shaved yesterday with Karve CB plate C with Kai blade. Very nice and efficient shave. For me the Kai blade is very sharp and doesn’t work well in mist of my razors but it likes the Karve  Happy2

That's great! The Karve was IT for almost 2 years, then I started looking again. But I haven't found a DE yet that I like better. Single edge razors are giving the Karve serious competition, though. Specifically, the injectors. But right now, the Karve is still king for DE!

Its a great razor - I still love the Rockwell 6s but the Karve is the first razor to come along that is serious competition for daily driver status.  I enjoy the Lupos and several others but they aren't at the daily driver level.

I’ve noticed that the blade - top cap post alignment is much tighter on the Karve than on any other razor I have. When I place a blade on the posts, place the baseplate on and start to screw down the handle, I can hear and feel some scraping between the posts and the blade. I figure that makes for a tight fit with no chance of misalignment.
