All of that may be true, and they may come up with something that serves as a shaving substance that works better than soap lather; but it won't be SOAP.  It will be something else.  SOAP has reached (or is very, very close to reaching) it's apex.  That's what I was saying.

I have no idea what the future will bring in terms of shaving SUBSTANCES or MATRICES or God knows what.

It will be fun to see what the future holds; hopefully it doesn't stay stagnant.

One if the problems is that ‘organic’ doesn’t mean anything, here, anyone can use it on anything. At best it's someone’s opinion. In the EU though, ‘bio’ is the equivalent term, but it’s a certification. The components of a product have to be certified as bio and the process vetted in order to call the end product bio’.

I’m also not sure mainstream customers will care enough.

...And that's a problem.

Also, to Steve's point, there is "certified organic".

Are you asking me "why is it a problem if people don't care if their choices are negatively impacting the planet we live on?"?

Do you mean organic or sustainable sourcing? Not one in the same.

I finally had to put some boundaries around my shaving budget. I haven't bought any new soaps in quite a while, rather, I've been getting razors that I really want.

Non-GMO would be nice, since I'm not into smearing pesticides and fungicides on my face.

While I think there is a niche market for organic and generally planet friendly shaving products, I think it will remain a niche.  I care most about the performance and the price.

Lets see now...after saying I'm hitting the wall I've recently bought a soap and brush from Viking Soap, soap and aftershave from Black Tie, Soap and aftershave form Tallow + Steel, new Dickens from Barrister & Mann, Fougere Mania from Wholly Kaw, Bay Rum Shaving Cream and aftershave from Captain's Choice, Bergamot and Neroli shaving cream from Art of Shaving, Stirling Frankincense & Myrrh Soap and aftershave, Murphy & McNeil Bad Mor Aftershave and Grooming Dept Sandalwood Noblie and Cascade from West Coast Shaving.

My name is Earl... Confused

Right through that wall, I am unstoppable.
