Strangley as it may seem, I've found the BB Ti to work beautifully married with my 101mm Black Oxide or Brass handle, along with one shim.
I'm getting some of the best shaves I have ever had. Something about titanium or the BB in Ti that seems to work, very well, for me.
I only wish Shane would offer an OC Ti base plate. Smile

However, I'm going to do half the shave with my WRH1 90mm hollow, which weighs in at 90 grams paired with the head, and the other half with the Darwin.

It is interesting ... to me .... that I found the long solid WRH1 paired with a WR1 0.74 @ 130 grams improved the shave, while paired with the 0.94 was too much of a good thing. Strange alchemy this wet shaving.

If you prefer mass with efficiency you might enjoy one of these:

If that's the all stainless Bird I have one, and enjoy it immensely. If it's the Ti head on the long SS BB handle I did try it. The head is too light for the SS handle, long or short, IME. My Ti BB has found a new home and I'm pleased with all of the money I'm going to save ... because I'm now sure that I don't need no steenking Ti razors (If you haven't seen the film, 'The Treasure of the Sierra Madre' you won't get the joke)  Smile

It's a brass bird - a bit heavier than the SS.  I like the long handle too.  Then there is always the Rocnel Sailor.

I totally get what JimmyH is saying, even as someone who is only interested in titanium (and to a lesser extent, adjustable) DE's. It's clear that my preferences changed over the 1+year I relied so much on my Blackland Vector. I simply got used to the light weight, and I like how I can control every maneuver without thought. Had the Vector never entered my life, I'd still be all about weightier SS DE razors, I'm sure.

Did you have SS Blackland v1?

I had the original Blackbird, one in Polished SS, the Jet and a brass. Love the Ti version.
