I believe it's the oils used, which are scentless. More for the beneficial skin properties?

That makes perfect sense, where I was hung up on the scents.  (Actually had an ideally-ripe mango for dessert at lunch.  That creamy, luscious, sweetish aroma could be a fun shaving scent . . . maybe with bergamot and lime brightening the top, a complementary floral [say, neroli], and guaiac wood, labdanum, and patchouli in the base.)

Ding ding ding!

Another widespread misunderstanding is about menthol: even if listed on its INCI, the soap has zero cooling effect nor a minty scent profile.

Maybe a little different from what you're describing, but you could try Salted Green Mango by Strangers Parfumerie:  sparkling bright, absolutely non-gourmand green scent, one my favorite summer fragrance ever. A tropical exotic paradise without any of its cliché.

Roger that . Would be nice to have a solid new artisan dupe/replica of this scent profile - soap, AFS, GLM.
