I went to the grocery store yesterday and parked next to a beautiful vintage red convertible. I was admiring it when the owner walked up and we started talking about the car and cars in general. His was a 1958 Skylark. He popped the hood and my jaw dropped.

There should be a tax credit for this sort of "road beautification" and "cultural history" effort. 
I think you can get a reduced registration fees for vintage vehicles in many jurisdictions, but it typically comes with restrictions on how much you can drive it.

Did the exterior look anything like this?
