HomelikeShaving Taiga Adjustable Razor tester....

Getting back to discussing the Taiga, just used the prototype this morning and this thing is outstanding! I used it with a once used Feather blade on it’s highest setting and it was smooth as silk!! I put the shave quality neck and neck with the new Rocnel Sailor. The Sailor has it beat with the handle knurling but man oh man this thing is built extremely well and performs magnificently! I was highly impressed with the way it moves and feedback is definitely there. I had a slight nick on my final pass XTG but only because by that time I was in such awe that I stopped paying attention to what I was doing. I am so glad that I ordered one of these and can’t wait to get the final version. The interesting thing for me is this company is brand new and they nailed it with the Start 1.18 and are releasing 1.30 plates soon for it and they killed it with this adjustable Taiga!! I got an extremely close 2.5 pass BBS and it seemed effortless. I would say run, don’t walk, to order one of the 80 they released over the holidays if they are still available! I am really looking forward to what this company puts out going forward. I am highly impressed with this company!!

It's probably too late to get in on trying out the Taiga prototype but I'd be down if it is possible to be added to the list. Everything I've read makes me want to try this razor. I tried to love the Rex adjustable but it just seemed a little harsh on my neck no matter what I did so I passed it on. I've almost bought it but it's obviously a significant investment for me to just try it out first.

Maybe this razor will solve my modern adjustable quandary? Not that I need another new stainless steel razor... But I don't currently have a SS adjustable in my arsenal

Guys, I figured out how to disassemble the razor last night. I forgot that someone mentioned earlier that there are some parts that are reverse threaded. It was like a bell went off when I finally figured it out. Like I said before, I CANNOT WAIT TO GET THE ONE I ORDERED AND TRY THE OC! Love this thing!

Just looked on their site and there are 39 Taigas left out of the 80 released and 36 of the titanium handles left.

Can’t remember if this was posted before but here’s a great video demonstration of how to disassemble and assemble the production Taiga. Notice the dots on the production version that shows how to line up the plates correctly. They just emailed me this video after I sent them an email about disassembling the razor shortly before I figured it out on my own

Does tracking show where it is at?  One of my orders from Tibam got hung up in customs for a month.
