I find this really interesting. I have a neighbor now with an oral version of Tourette Syndrome, so when he goes out riding on his bicycle I can hear his frequent short, barking outbursts. When I was training in psychiatry many years ago I had several people with Tourette as patients, which didn't make sense to me since it is a neurologic disorder, not a psychiatric one. But there was more overlap of specialties then.
