I am looking at it for head shaving as well. Currently using the Leaf, the pivot with a single blade is very interesting!

I tried a few times to use the leaf for my head shaves, but I just hate the handle and the head is bulky to me.

I plan on using the proof razor for my head shave tonight.

I've only heard of this razor last week so I'm not 100% sure, but I think so. I'll confirm with the high proof team.

I used this razor 2x for 2 head shaves, which would probably be my use case for a pivoting head razor.

The razor is light, feels great in the hand and has a nice handle length.  The pivoting action, to me, feels a lot less stiff than that of my oneblade core razor that I have on hand.  The one thing that may or may not be appealing to some is that the spring for the pivoting action is always visible.  I'm not sure if could also present as a potential problem if hair and/or soap residue got inside the spring area.

Now, onto loading the blade...I snapped a DE blade in half and got the razor loaded up. The magnets on the top cap are super strong and want to lock into place when you get the top cap anywhere near the base of the head:

For my 1st head shave, I changed some things up and tried using hair conditioner in place of my traditional shaving soap or cream. Not only did my head not tolerate the scent and/or ingredients well in the conditioner, I think it made the hair clump up more than shaving soap/cream, thus causing it to get clogged up in the lather channels more often than I'd prefer:

For my 2nd shave, I used some WM Neumann shaving cream I have on hand. The flow through of the hair/lather was definitely better than when using the conditioner, but something I noticed was that I couldn't get the hair in the center section of the razor head to clear away as there's really no where for that lather to go since it sits in front of the pivoting section:

I reached out to the high proof team to mention this, noting that maybe rather than 1 large lather channel, they do 2, one on each side of the center section so stuff doesn't always get stuck in the middle of the razor.

I enjoyed my time with the razor and will likely pick 1 up in the future!

Gen 1 does not have the spring visable; it suffers from the same center channel void.  Handle on gen 2 has less machining; void areas.  Gen 2 dropped ‘high’ proof from the name and machined the top plate with grooves.  Stand is different on gen 2 at holding the end rather than the collar.   Looking forward to comparing further.
