Hello from NYC!

Welcome to DFS, shevek.  What part of NYC are you from?  Although San Diego has been my home for more than 40 years, I was born and reared in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn.

I've lived in Manhattan for the last 16 years. But I actually grew up in Sheepshead Bay and lived there until I was 18 (1994). Small world, right? Do you remember Brennan and Carr? I lived close to that restaurant.

Of course I remember Brennan and Carr.  They were an institution even in the 1950s.  They were on Avenue U/Neck Road and Nostrand Avenue.  I lived on Avenue U between East 23rd and East 24th Streets, above shops, just six blocks from there. It really is a small world!

One google search led to another and I ended up finding this nice forum. I'm a member on a few other shaving forums and see a lot of familiar faces here. And then I came across the fascinating "why do users get banned" thread lol. So, this is where all the people that just disappear from other sites end up? ha...Well, just thought I would say hello and look forward to getting to know this forum better

Great post, glad you found DFS! I visited and considered many forums, while only wanting to be a part of just one quality group...and I too found, and chose DFS. I am glad I did as this is a great group of people who are full of good information!
