Heavy DE razors

Rockwell 6S 121.2 grams with a Feather blade in it.

I sold the XL handle for my brass Hone Type 15 and have the nimble 165g version

Was 185g with the other handle

I guess my heaviest would be the Rockwell 6C. I like the heft of it.
Having said that, I'm surprised at how well I've adjusted to much lighter razors too.

What about your Vikings Blade Emperor Meiji ?
It seems quite heavy as well!

AHA!  You're absolutely correct! How could I forget that beast??!!

Heaviest one I know of but never used is the now discontinued Merkur Vision 2000.

Anyone have a Stahly Live Blade Razor? 

I sold mine years ago but with all that gearing in it I do remember it having it some heft to it.

You want heavy? I'll give you heavy...the Hone SS or brass. Over 160gm. It's a beast with a decidedly even side. You do let the razor do the work. But it's deceptively mild while being very efficient. A very good razor for those who REALLY like heavy razors.

Pearl Flexi is heaviest DE IME. 143.1g on my scale.

My Merkur 43C is the heaviest razor I’ve owned and I’ve owned 65-70 new DE razors since 2011.

I really like how it shaves actually. A more aggressive 34C because of its heft (same head design)

I also own the Rockwell 6S Matte Black and it’s ‘only’ 122 gram.

The Merkur 43C weighs 148 grams.

However I used to own some very heavy 160-170 gram UFO stainless steel handles and they could bring a razors weight up to very very heavy weight.

Mine has to be the Fendrihan "Scientist" Full Stainless, with the Mk I open/closed comb head.
10.1 cm and 111 g. The knurling on the handle is the grippiest I've ever seen.





Generally though, I prefer razors half that mass or less, like the 37 g Henson AL13.
