I know you and the Injectors came to a parting of the ways , FWIW I find them the most headshave friendly razor type (H and I particularly so).

I was just going to suggest that. Seems like a nice balance between the Cart and DE.

Try one of the milder ones (H through M) at some point. The H handles more like the Head Blade, it might work for you. You're welcome to borrow one of mine if you don't have one.

I know for sure I have an L type. I'll have to see what other ones I have and let you know.

Thanks for the offer!

did a quick check last night. it looks like I have 1 L type and the rest are either G types or E type injectors, I believe.

I could probably give it a whirl with the L type. that said, I'm heading to Walmart on Tuesday to pick up a few things. If the headblade is available there and cheap, I might pick one up to see how it does.

I got some irritation when I first started shaving. Definitely more so with the cart than after switching to DE. I haven't had any real irritation in at least 10 months now...

With a safety razor, I never used the 2 mirror system. It was, as mentioned, more trouble than it was worth. I could easily get very clean by feel with either DE or SE...

When I started using a straight on my head, that's when I started using a second handheld mirror for the back of my head. I'm still not comfortable doing the back of my head with a straight or shavette without a mirror... It's just too easy to get that blade in at the wrong angle and give yourself a little something to remember...

I have been head shaving for about 6 months. My first head shave was done by my wife using an electric razor. The next day I used a cartridge razor with three blades. After getting used to the cartridge razor I started using the same razor I use for my face. I find, however, that the best shaves come with a Schick Injector razor. I shave every day.

My routine is to wash my face and head with Neutrogena Face Wash. (I shave before I shower). I then shave my face with whatever razor is in my rotation. I use a different brush every day and normally use a soap but sometimes a cream. I shave my face first and then wet my head and lather up. I find I get a smooth shave with two passes. In contrast on my face, I do a four pass shave. I rinse my head with cold water and apply witch hazel on my head by rubbing it on with my hands. I rarely get irritation since I have been shaving my face with safety razors for a long time and pay strict attention to no pressure and using the correct angle for the razor I am using.

I haven't shaved my head in a week now. I have a small bump or two just above the nape area..I'll have to shave my head with clippers here soon to see what that's all about.

I went to shave my head tonight with my L type injector. I pulled out the injector from my drawer only to realize that the 2 injector blade packs I have are both used to pop old blades from razors I find in antique shops....sigh..

I just placed an order for 4 packs of schick blades on amazon for $20.66, after tax. should be arriving on Sunday...
