QCS is... Okay. I initially picked up a combo because of Vostok. Nice and cold but there are now colder. I also later grabbed a Vetiver combo. Smelled mostly of patchouli (which I do like) but the lather never worked for me. The balms like to separate and after a while it's a pain. Eventually it just gets a bit weird. Haven't used QCS in at least a year now.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Green Irish Tweed Type scent? How does it compare to Stirling, Mama Bears, or some of the others out there?

halvor I agree with the Celestial Woods statement. Having it and Basilica side by side, I would call Celestial Woods a Basilica light soap. Or you could say Basilica was Celestial Woods taken to extreme. Thats why I liked using the Basilica balm after the CW shaves.
As far as the balms separating, I've had mine for a while and they didnt separate. My last house had wide temp extremes and that didnt seem to phase them.(if the separation is connected to changes in temp) I will say that the QCS balms seem to last forever.
I do like the Vostock for daily summer use. It isnt as intense as the Artique lending itself to more frequent use. I am in the Iced Key lime right now. I read where the owner posted that Iced Key lime is essentially Vostock with only Lime EO added.

andrewjs18 QCS indeed does make a couple soaps for my business. I beleive the reason they don't get as much "airtime" as they used to is because there are just so many soap companies around now that are more "sexy", if that makes sense. QCS has a solid foundation of fragrances but nothing extremely innovative or new. They arent constantly releasing new products which attracts everyone's attention.
They make soap. Darn good soap. Period.

Matthew of QCS is a good friend of mine, he and his mother own the company. Over the last two years or so, Matthew has graduated college and moved away from home to start his career in private banking, which he went to school for. This may also contribute to their online presence dwindling, Matthew doesn't frequent the boards as much these days. I had been trying to get him to come join us here at DFS but he's just far to busy with work, and his mother is the one making all the soap now- which is only a part time gig and just for fun really.

Been a loyal user of QCS shampoo bars for about 2 years. I love how easy they lather.
