Hard soap shaving sticks

Lately i have been using shave sticks again....Valobra.

Who of you love using shave sticks??

I would love if all artisan soap makers and other manufacturer’s would make shave sticks.

I see Razorock has produced one which i am keen to try....

Come on Artisans, give us some shave sticks!! ?

Ironically, just today I used my Speick shave stick that I had cut up and put into a bowl. At my age I'll call it hard.        Regardless, this is a superb tallow soap that is cheap as well. Not Arko cheap, but cheaper than Valobra and for my face it works better than the latter. It has a scent like no other and is testimony that you don't need to spend big bucks on an artsy fartsy artisan soap to get top shelf results. I think it works better than the Lea & the La Toja stick also. Just my 2 cents.

Man, I read your title as reading, "Hard soap shaving sucks." Which made getting past what you were saying in your post, a real challenge lol! But that in a way is a good thing because I've never really considered shaving sticks, and if I knew you were posting about em, I'd have ignored the thread. Instead, now you have me wondering what their benefits are.

What is the benefit of a shaving stick other than they are easy to travel with.

Easy to avoid underloading, more time face lathering (instead of loading), sticks take less space to store, usually 2oz and less (considering the number of soaps we buy, less is better imo), And finally, just another thing to enjoy.

I simply love shave sticks! They give me a better post shave feel. Really not sure if this is true but for me, rubbing the stick on my face...creates a better base for face lathering ect.

But this is just me.....lol

My all time number one stick is Valobra. Just cant beat it.

Ive got two tubs of soap left which i will be moving on. I have more sticks on order now and just received another two in the post today

Im only going to use sticks from now on.
