To add to what Stickshift said, I have the Ti Efficient, Yates 921 (M, H and EH), and Timeless Ti95. I also have a Chris Bradley, but the really gnarly F/G plates, so not really a comparison here so I'll leave that one out.

For me, the Ti Efficient is similar to the Ti95, and I think I agree with Stickshift that its about similar to Yates H plate. For me, the EH is definitely more efficient AND more comfortable to shave with and is a very easy daily razor that leaves no irritation, no cuts, and a fantastic BBS. I have a stainless Yates, but love it so much I just ordered a Ti version with the Hybrid EH plate and am expecting it to arrive today. Personally, in all the razors I have and have tried (a lot) the Yates 921EH is the most comfortable and most efficient, bar none. TiBird is close, but not nearly as comfortable IMHO.

The Ti Efficient is definitely a milder version though I think, feels very much like autopilot, and is very forgiving. Its quite efficient, and I like the large size, it feels like there's a lot of coverage in each pass. I usually only do a two pass shave with a little touching up, and both the Ti Efficient and the Yates will give very good, long lasting BBS shaves every time, without effort.

The one interesting thing I find though is that the Ti Efficient has a very long lasting effect - that is - the BBS seems to last longer than just about any razor I have. Its right up there with the Yates, maybe even longer.

The best blade for me with the above is the Gillette Platinum.

The Ti95 is a nice smooth, comfortable shave that I think accels in ATG. Not quite as efficient, but pretty good. Its very easy to use, and I think I'll keep it in the stable.

So, to round it out - my favorite high efficiency razors are Yates 921EH, Ti Efficient, Ti Blackbird, Ti95, and Konsul. The ones I have in the stable that I don't care for are my Tataras (Masamune and Muramasa). I can't seem to get a good or comfortable shave with them, they seem wildly inefficient, and to get the Muramasa to shave efficiently even a little bit makes it very uncomfortable to me. So if anyone wants a Muramasa, let me know Smile

Awesome information.  Thanks for posting.

I’m considering a Yates but a little afraid of the EH plate.  Jake recommended that I try an M plate.

The Timeless Ti 95 is on autopilot for me.  Do you think it’s smoother than the Yates H plate?

I’m using the Ti Efficient a few more times and sending it on to the next man up whom I just messaged

[Image: AJxFQa9.jpg]Oh Another shave in the books.  BBS with a little irritation but no weepers or creepers.

I spent a little too much time going over my jawline to clean it up - haven’t found a razor yet where I don’t need to do this.  The Ti Efficient performed well again.  Really create instrument.

One more shave and I’ll ship this off to 1992shaver

Pre: PAA Cube and hot wash cloth
H&S Ti Efficient with RK Chromium (2)
Saw Dust Creations G7 with HC&C Stainless Bowl
A&E Little Fictions Soap, Alum, and AS Splash, HC&C unscented balm.

Final thoughts….

Let me start by thanking H&S and andrewjs18 from DFS for making it possible for me to participate in this pass around. I truly enjoy this group and have been a beneficiary of the many things our community has to offer.

I’m 6 shaves in with the H&S Ti Efficient. I’ve gotten great freakin shaves with this razor - BBS every time with no irritation in the last 3-4 shaves. I grew more confident each day as I got to know it better and I’m sorry to have to pass it on to the next member. I could see myself buying this razor either new or second hand. Full disclosure, I am also looking at the Yates.

This razor combines the right level of efficiency, weight and razor head size for my face. I would love to have a slightly grippier knurling on the handle - assume it’s possible to discuss handle options with the company (might be wrong).

Surprised you find the EH to be smoother than the H.

Have you tried them side by side?

The yates is a good option too, I haven't ordered one in Ti yet so I havent used mine in a while but I can see myself using that as much as the Ti efficient.  I want to get a 921EH in Ti.

Well, I had the pleasure of using this fine razor this afternoon and I have nothing to say but good things.
I had paired it with a Derby blade, a sample of A&E Monte Carlo (which is definitely a new favorite), my expertly crafted brush from Chisel & Hound, and lovely bowl from Symmetrical Pottery.

The first thing I noticed when picking up this razor was just how light it was. I know how titanium feels due to my history of knife collecting but feeling it in a razor it totally different. This was the first Ti razor I had ever gotten my hands on and I’m certainly impressed.
All of the machining is done with such precision and it just feels like it belongs in your hand. I spent a good few minutes just looking it over when it first arrived and couldn’t find anything I would possibly change about it.

Every aspect of my shave with it was quite wonderful. The shave felt so smooth and effortless, not to mention clean out between passes was super easy and everything just seemed to flow right out. I hate that I enjoyed it as much as I did because now I need to get one for myself at some point..! Definitely glad for this pass around to give myself and others a chance at using such an awesome razor.

Hi Everyone,

First let me thank andrewjs18 for setting this up. I really am looking forward to putting it through its paces over the next week.

The razor arrived at my home this morning.  I took it out of the box, gave it an extra clean out with Dawn dish soap .  I do love the box for shipping and travel, it is really great.

I lathered Ethos Lavender and a fresh Israeli Red Personna and went to work.  I could have been done with a simple 2 pass, but I went for it all with a 3 pass.  I did get some mild irritation on my neck and I’ll adjust my technique/number of passes for my next shave.  I will admit, I am BBS will see how long it lasts, but efficiency wise I would say it is near the Ti BB with less blade feel and more gap.  I did really enjoy the handle, it is fantastic at 3.75”.

I will report back later this week with better photos.
