andrewjs18 can I participate? I'm in Arizona. I really liked the Ti-083, but this might just be the H&S razor I've been waiting for...

I received the razor in the mail this afternoon and considering I didn't shave this morning I decided to give it a go on 2.5 days growth prior to my shower. I would like to thank @andrews18 for putting together this pass around and would like to thank Aji for making an exceptionally nice razor to contribute to the pass around also.

As to the razor, the finish is just what I would look for in a satin finish and most of the pics I've seen posted really does this razor no justice overall. The handle is much smaller in hand than what it looks like in pics also. If I was to order one of these it would be with the handle that is with the head for the pass around. Actually, everything about this razor looks way bigger than what it actually is in person. The box they supply it in is so small unlike the gigantic box I've seen posted on most H&S threads. I'm impressed overall in what I received and used.

On to the shave, I loaded it with a brand new Silver Star and lathered up with the usual Stirling Bay Rum variety and finished it off with Proraso Green A/S... It was basically my usual 2.5 pass BBS shave and was almost uneventful until I lost my concentration for the briefest of moments and it gave me a cut on my cheekbone on the ATG pass going towards my left ear and where I usually hold my skin and stretch it and my old loose skin just kinda folded into the safety bar and I got a nice little slice before I could stop the stroke!! The gap on this thing is massive and it will bite you!! The last thing I'd point out is this razor is not meant to use a steep angle at all. The razor skips and seems very unstable to me. I believe it is meant to use a more neutral to very shallow angle for optimum performance and unfortunately doesn't fit my technique at all. I've never had a problem with my previous Ti95DC and current Ti Blackbird as they just shine with a steep angle.

Positives include:
Finish and quality of craftsmanship is top notch
Weight is very good
The handle is good size for the head and feels great in the hand, not too long and not too short
The stand is hefty and the handle fits perfect in it
The case is much smaller in person and very well made

Negatives include:
Only one I can really think of is the shave angle having to be on the shallow side which I haven't used in almost 4yrs now

I have the razor all cleaned up, sterilized, and packaged up for the next participant, Marhos24. Will try to ship it back out tomorrow.

Arrived yesterday in good condition. First shave tomorrow.

First shave this morning went well. As usual fit and finish is pheonominal on these razors. The stand is a nice touch and this is the first time I have seen one with a passaround razor. I've always had issues with the geometry of the H&S co razors, but I keep trying the different models in an attempt to find one that works. I usually get a lot of blade feel and irritation without much hair reduction. Almost get a stinging sensation as I'm shaving with the past models. There are a ton of happy customers who own these razors so it isn't a design flaw, it must just be a combo that doesn't work for me. This razor was different for the most part. Using a new Gillette platinum and WK "Club Yanka" it easily shaved off my two days of growth. I had a tiny weeper on my chin from where I had a blemish on the first pass. Second pass went relatively well and was smooth and comfortable although I felt some irritation on the one side of my chin while going XTG (the same stinging sensation). Finished up with a nice close shave, and only some slight stinging with the alum (mostly on my chin where it had felt rough). The razor is well balanced and lighter than I had expected with the long handle. I am not a huge fan of the handle, and it almost seemed to get in the way while going XTG, but it's usable. The razor rinsed well with the large lather ports and never seemed like it would clog. I look forward to shaving Saturday morning and getting another shave in with this razor.
