Truly a shame that this razor is only offered in polished as I am one of the few that just doesn't care for the way polished razors show every little micro abrasion in any pic you see posted anywhere where a satin or matte finish don't show any!! I would've probably put myself on the list to try it but being polished I would never buy one...and why they send the ugly handle out with it? Why not include both handles to try out?

Small thing but I would prefer the website catalogued all the different versions past and present as the listings come and go too fast. Alternatively a single listing for each model with drops down menus for material, finish, handle would be user friendly.
It arrived yesterday and I cleaned it and took it on a maiden voyage this morning. I want to get a few more runs in before finalizing any thoughts, but for now I’ll just say…promising.

He currently has machined version: https://www.haircutandshaveco.com/produc...0mm-handle
Sometimes it is hard to find the razor in his website.

I saw that link before but all the pics on that listing are polished unfortunately.... What I want is a matte or satin finish.

I think the bottom part of the baseplate looks polished, but the sides and top cap looks to be machined.
Ok, everything is packed up and ready to send off to "LOOT". I'll try to get it to the post office today. Tomorrow at the latest.
I used the razor for 6 full head shaves, 3 neck shaves, and two different side-by-side shaves, one with an Above The Tie H1, one with a Blackland Blackbird stainless. I'm planning to make a video to put on my YouTube channel, but in the meantime, here are my thoughts...
The light polish is probably better than most 'polished' stainless razors on the market. I'm more of a machined finish guy myself because I don't like to worry about scratches. I actually kept a hand towel on the sink to set this on because I was paranoid. I don't really do that for my other razors. It sure is pretty, though.
The Ti 083 is definitely a step up in efficiency from the P076, which I got a chance to try last year. As I said, I did side-by-side shaves with the Blackbird and the H1, and I think it's just a tiny bit less efficient than both of those, but it also has far less blade feel.
I wasn't crazy about the 95mm handle. I prefer shorter handles for head shaving. I also feel like the longer handle threw off the balance a bit for the way I like to hold razors.
It's noticeably lighter than the stainless steel P076 I tried. While the website says 72g, my scale measured only 67g. That makes it similar in weight to my Redtip at 66g, or my MMOC at 64g, which are two of the lightest razors that I enjoy using. That puts it at the very low end of my sweet spot, which is somewhere around 80g. The machined finish version of the razor that comes with an 80mm handle shows the same weight. If that's true, I think I would prefer that handle, both for the length and for my preferred weight distribution.
The safety bars are very thin, and they are wide open across the entire length of the razor. My first reaction was that it might not survive a drop off the sink. I know titanium is stronger than stainless steel, but those safety bars sure look fragile. The advantage is that this razor is super easy to rinse and super easy to keep clean. I suspect it also contributes to the efficiency of the razor, despite the fact that it doesn't look to have a very large blade exposure.
I really enjoyed using this razor. I was a little nervous about the weight because I tend to have issues with aluminum razors skipping and tugging. This razor did not have that problem at all. It was very smooth and very comfortable. It doesn't have the efficiency to compete with something like the R41. I can get an acceptable shave with the R41 using a single WTG pass. No such luck with the Ti 083. But it was a really good shave when doing a single XTG pass, similar to the way that I use my H1 and Blackbird. I do think it was more comfortable than either of those razors while being close to the same level of efficiency. I never shave ATG, but this might be a razor that I would try it with for special occasions.
When I tried the P076, I really wanted to love it. It was extremely comfortable and very easy to use, but it just didn't quite have the efficiency that I need. This one did. The machined version is going on my wish list. Maybe not at the very top of the list, but close. Time to start saving up...

Almost forgot, I threw a few tucks of blades in as well. A few that I just have way too many of, along with a couple of tucks of the new Strangelet blades for those of you who haven't had a chance to try them yet...
