I have had my new H&S Co TI efficient for about 2 weeks now and after 8 shaves I thought I would give my first impressions on it so far.

My first shave was a bit of a surprise.  I had a 3 day growth because I wanted to put the razor to task.  I started with about a 30ish degree angle and that seems to be what this razor works best at.  First shave was BBS and I had no irritation, no nicks or hot spots and I found it very easy to hit every contour of my face.  I was shocked, first shave with a brand new razor and it felt like I had been shaving with it for years.

Since the first shave went so well I didn't bother trying to keep the software consistent and tried a different soap with almost every shave.  All subsequent shaves were daily with a couple skipped days, a couple of the shaves were rushed because I had to be somewhere.  Every shave has been absolutely wonderful, I have had very mild irritation if any, and not had a single nick so far, blades used so far are Gillette 7 greens, nacet, and feathers.  For me this razor falls into possible GOAT territory.

If you were considering it I highly suggest picking it up.  Its extremely well made, the blade clamps nicely and the razor just glides across your skin.

I'm on the list with wolfman for a titanium razor because I think now after having three Titanium razors I find they produce a better shave.  It could be the metal but I think I like this razor more than my wolfman.[Image: pNiVV1D.jpg][Image: 1hzDPvU.jpg]

I got the budget version, machined with the knurl handle and no plastic box. I am very pleased with mine as well. I don't shave with plastic boxes and the finish is more than adequate.

My goal is to have an every-day driver which does not irritate me. The Ti Efficient is smooth and very efficient, the holy grail combination. It is almost too efficient as it leaves me with less to shave the next day when I shave every day. I do have to be careful when shaving against the grain on my neck area to avoid irritation. When I am not careful, I do notice some heat in that area and have had to apply a balm before going to sleep to calm it down.

I have been alternating shaves with a Feather AS-D2. The Ti Efficient is more efficient as you might expect. My every day razors are turning out to be the H&S Z074 Ti-5, the H&S Ti Efficient, the Timeless Ti .68, the Feather AS-D2 and the Charcoal Goods Everyday. I could probably throw the Yates 921-M in that mix too.

The H&S Z074 is markedly less efficient than the Ti Efficient but there is little chance of causing any irritation with it.

So far, the only blade I have used is the Gillette Platinum and it has worked well for me with that blade. Gillette Platinum blades are very reasonably priced now on Amazon, $11 for 100. Soon I will try out my favorite Gillette Silver Blue and Wizamet and see how they do.

Also awaiting a stainless version of the efficient since, unlike Itsallgravy I don't like titanium razors (and I've tried all of H&S's in titanium). My favorite H&S is the N075 in mixed metal and I think something a touch more efficient could hit a very sweet spot for me.

I think it would be very smart for him to make it in stainless, as many people do prefer it over titanium. I wouldnt mind seeing it in copper either.

How does it compare with the Timeless .68?

I would say the razor has a bit more blade feel than the Ti Timeless SB 0.95 plate. Comparable to the Ti Carbon++ plate
