I have 3 Razorock razors.
I enjoy all of them.  Lupo, Gamechanger and BBS.
I was thinking I might want to have one of them coated, or plated with the same stuff they use for guns, or DLC?
Not gold, nickel or rhodium…
(Gun Cote or Ceracote or ?)
I’m not sure if it’s a good idea!

Anyone have experience with this?

Can a “Gun Coating” style layer be done without screwing up the dynamics of the razor?
Is a DLC coating the same?
Who does this kind of coating for razors??

Yes, I preferred Delta Echo but they are out of business for some time now.

I bought a ceracoated Gillette Tech from the now defunct Delta Echo Razors a few years back. It was one of his razors not one I sent in. It looks cool but it bites which is unusual for a tech. I don’t know if it’s because of the coating or maybe the razor was dropped or otherwise mistreated and got knocked out of alignment. It’s too bad because it’s just a showpiece now - I won’t use it nor would I sell it in that condition. I suppose I could give it away with full disclosure. Nice coated tech. It cuts me. Maybe it won’t cut you.  Big Grin

Don't ignore motorsport solutions, such as DLC, which are specifically designed to resist constant projectile bombardment whilst reducing stiction and friction

Thank you, Mr Law.
I have a DLC razor from H&S.
It is a great razor.
I believe that DLC coating is only available in black, or maybe just military greens, etc.
I’m thinking more color(s).

DLC in motorsport, FOX shocks, is gold. There should also be a greyish silver too.
