Hi mrdoug
Pekin is set to be released in January 2024, at the same time as the next Mallard release.
What a lovely scent from Amare. It has just the right amount of sweetness off the tub from the fruit. It's the kind of sweetness you have to look for rather than it being front and center. As hard as I tried, I'm not able to pick out any individual scent notes from this, either from the tub or the lather. Although I think, but still not sure, I may have detected a slight coconut note in the air later when I returned to the bathroom.

Hi AlphaFrank75
I love your take on the Amare scent! It's a scent that's packed with fantasy notes, which is spot-on with your astute observation.
Here is what someone just wrote on Discord! This person finished a jar of the previous Amare release.
"Amare is an all-time favorite of mine. To me, this newest release is far less in-your-face fruity and is more complex. To extend the metaphor, it’s not surface-level, exuberant young love so much as it is more mature, seasoned and experienced love."

CB strongly dislikes last generation, hopefully this one more to her liking. She has an aversion to overly sweet scents. We would tussle over it as it had a strong appeal from my perspective

Not every scent is liked by everyone. Some scents are liked by some people
When Jason (the owner of TRC) requested a remake of Amare earlier in the year. He said that Amare was one of his all-time favorite wet shaving scents.

Rather favoured it; CB was the one having issue
Apples are a surprising source of complex fragrances. With a vast array of volatile compounds. Every ingredient I put in the Schön fragrance references a compound in apples. I designed Schön and mixed the scent about a year ago. I have several apple scents which I hope to share with you in the future.
Studies have shown that more than 300 volatile compounds have been identified in fresh apples. These compounds belong to a variety of chemical classes, including esters, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, and terpenes.
I learned a lot from the docs below. Happy reading!
