LOVE the “Earl Grey Gelato” Mallard! I’m not usually one for gourmand scents, but I think this one is great. I get my best Grooming Dept shaves with Mallard, Duck Fat/Tallow, and Tallow bases. The knot on my M7 just kept growing today as I continued to add water to it. Excellent results with a Paradigm 17-4 that I had been struggling to get good shaves with. I think I’m going to have to pick up the Unscented Duck Fat Base as well, good stuff!

Thanks for the review. I really want to try this one.

Man oh man, the new Mallard scents are just on another level to me! I did get Incense and Rose and used it this morning and the scent is intoxicating. Performance was outstanding like the rest of the tallow soaps but Mallard is just a notch above.

GroomingDept your “Whiskey/Chocolate” Mallard scent will be right up my alley. Two of my favorite things in one of my favorite Soap Bases for the trifecta!

There will be many whisky scented aftershaves too Smile Candied Cherry has a brandy note, Affogato has an amaretto-like note.

Received my Incense and Rose.

The master alchemist has done it yet again.

Absolutely wonderful scent blend, and truly exceptional work.

And the shave this morning... Oh my!

I need more! Big Grin

Bravo Mohammad... Happy

So, tried a few samples so far of Grooming Dept:

Kulfi: Very delicious scent, probably my favorite that I've tried. Obviously I've never experienced it before but it is very sweet, can definitely pick up the coconut and the vanilla in this one. Nice scent strength too.

Neroli di Bois: Was unsure of this scent until I broke it open and lathered it. Off of the sample, it was very floral, then once I broke it open and lathered it, it became to my nose, a stout Fine Italian Citrus ringer! I love this scent and let me just say this about the vegan formula: very very thick, beautiful tallowish looking lather. Amazing lather.

Wonderland: Not sure of this one just yet. Have lathered it, definitely pick up the hay, but it leaves behind a very floral type after-scent. I need to try it a few more times to see if it grows on me.

Absinthe and Leather: another scent off the sample I didnt care for but LOVED after lathering it. Nice and leathery, kind of reminded me of First Snow. Unfortunately this scent burned my skin so I can't use it. Very manly and i fell in love with it.

Amber and Oud: did not care for this one at all. Very pungent, very biting, piercing bright scent.

So far, Kulfi and Neroli Di Bois will be purchases with Wonderland on deck for some more trying.
