I suspect that might be too much exfoliation which could lead to skin irritation and breakouts. I have recommended to many wet shaver to forgo most face wash and exfoliants, many have reported improved skin condition!

Pottertons Next post will have to wait until Monday. I realized that it had too much jargon, I need to simplify it Smile

GroomingDept Has it been posted?

Just finished a shave with Mohammad’s new “budget” base Fortis. C’mon Mo, are you kidding me??!! His “budget” soap puts so many other artisan’s regular priced soaps to shame. He sent me a sample of the unscented version and we almost got in to it via email because he demanded that I not use his Pre Shave at all and not use his Post Shave Serum for at least 45 minutes after the shave. Now, those that know me understand that I consider Mo’s Pre and Post Shave products “crack” for the face and I had to really stop myself from putting on the Pre before my shave and I keep looking at the bottle of Post sitting on the counter looking at me with those golden waves saying, come to me Big Fella!!
Anyway, the new Fortis is wonderful and for the price, it is just a shame that other soap makers in this industry are about to be priced “on notice”!! For $15 for a 5 ounce tub, this one cannot be beat! After I finished my 2.5 pass shave, I left the excess lather on my face as I always do with GD soaps. The face feel afterward is smooth and soft. The protection during the shave is about the same as all my other GD soaps. Fortis is going to be a huge winner and seller at the budget price. Mohammad, once again you have knocked it out of the park!!

I was using a brand new Wolf Whiskers Brush with an Oumo/Maggard 28mm SHD Finest Fan Knot.

Oumo/Maggard? Good to know.
Regarding the soap though, I'm looking forward to it.
Up until experiencing the GD line, I was trying bunch of products. Since then, I've been quite hesitant and eagerly await any GD drop.

Man am I itching for that aftershave. Haha

Oumo makes the SHD knots that Maggard sells. Mohammad actually hipped me to that info.

I've been looking at grabbing one of either. Being that I'm in Canada, this piece of info helps greatly.

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if I missed the "mega drop"? I've been watching but seems like it's been quite awhile since the announcement so wondering if I just missed it.

I had my first Shave today with Grooming Dept’s ‘Fortis’ Soap. It was Unscented and smelled great to me. I used Mo’s ‘system’ of Pre and Post Shave of course. The Soap was a bit firmer than most of my other Grooming Dept Soaps, and was very easy to lather. The Soap held plenty of water, and gave me a nice thick and slick lather. I had an easy three pass BBS shave with zero irritation. Mo’s new ‘Budget’ line is Grooming Dept through and through. I would expect nothing less. Thanks Mohammad!

I agree, his "budget" soap is one of the best in the market Lol. I'm still testing mine and I want to compare it to his vegan and mallard formulas before submitting my feedback, but it's been great so far.
